Giada Pamela De Laurentiis was born in Rome, Italy, on August 22, 1970. She is an Italian American chef, writer, television personality, and the host of the current Food Network program Giada at Home. She also appears regularly as a contributor and guest co-host on NBC's Today. De Laurentiis is the founder of the catering business GDL Foods.
Giada Pamela De Laurentiis is the eldest child of actress Veronica De Laurentiis and her first husband, actor-producer Alex De Benedetti; De Benedetti was a close associate of Giada's grandfather, the late film producer Dino De Laurentiis. Her parents were married in February 1970 but were later divorced. After their parents' divorce, Giada and her siblings moved to Southern California where they took their mother's surname. In November 2009, Chelsea Clinton announced her engagement to Marc Mezvinsky, 32. Marc Mezvinsky is a Goldman Sachs employee and a graduate of Stanford University. He's known Chelsea since their teens. They met in Washington, D.C., and both went on to attend Stanford University. Mezvinsky is the son of two former congress members, Edward Mezvinsky (D-Iowa) and Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, also a former member of Congress from Pennsylvania (1993-95). Edward Mezvinsky was indicted for fraud in 2001 and served 80 months in prison; he was released in April 2008.
